In summer 2017, a photography contest took place where Estonians were invited to capture their impression of Finland and the Finnish were encouraged to express their understanding of Estonia through images.
The photographs were shared on social media with special hashtags: #soomehetk for the Estonians’ pictures of Finland, and #vironhetki for the Finnish idea of their neighbours.
An exhibition in Estonia and in Finland
Juries from Estonia and Finland will both select 50 pictures to feature in an exhibition called “100 Moments”. The joint exhibition of these close neighbours will reflect the ways the two countries see each other.
